ROLAND KOPP: Photographs of Knoxville, Tennessee, 1996
Roland Kopp, Buddy and The Huddle frontman, visited Knoxville, Tennessee in 1996 to pay homage to the town Suttree described. He and bandmate Michel Ströll searched for places depicted in the book and took hundreds of photos during their exploration. Here is a sampling.
“...I'm a man who's river bound / I live on a houseboat on the wrong side of town / muddy waters flow, the four winds blow / run my skiff into the shady cliff / lazy days and rambling nights...”
— Buddy and The Huddle [From Suttree] —
